INTERMISSIONDC is a series of public engagements on DC culture and planning designed to gather community insights for the DC Cultural Plan. The INTERMISSIONDC series launched the DC Cultural Plan effort publicly by hosting an INTERMISSIONDC Kickoff Event on July 20, 2016, attended by more than 500 District residents and stakeholders, who participated in a series of conversations around culture, including cultural production, expression, identity, and the meaning of culture. We heard and recorded many ideas and thoughts that are helping to guide the course of research and inform the next steps of this process.
